Updated: Thanks for your help. The ad is gone.

It preturbs me when people use photos I take for this blog without permission, to sell their equipment. They are not selling the pieces in the pictures, and the pictures are copyrighted.

If you agree, and wouldn't want your stuff used without your permission, please take a second to flag this ad (ad gone, link removed). I politely asked the person who took them to remove them yesterday.

I can understand that you think you have copyrighted your pictures, but you don't have any problem posting old album covers with your blogspot ad superimposed over them, I suppose you paid a royalty to use the old Hall and Oates album cover, among many others that have appeared on your page, it goes both ways, so stop being an arrogant twit!

Lloyd.

You have a fabulous site that is on must visit list for inspiration, and passion about a hobby we share. I agree with you, using someone else's photographs of different equipment to sell another item is fraud. They are criminals in intent and in their mind. I pity their lack of respect for themselves. I am sure the poster above is that person. Do not let those that have no values effect your own.

Keep up the good work, and keep using lp covers in your neat artwork. The fraudster above purposely neglects to mention that you are not using the image of someone else's lp cover to sell another. Totally deceptive on their part, and a telling flag that their thinking is of the lowest in our society. We do not need people like this in a world that cherishes happiness, kindness, and support of others.

Yes, as Spinnr said "Keep up the good work, and keep using lp covers in your neat artwork" just don't acknowledge that indeed those images are copyrighted, designed by the artists themselves or hired graphic artists in question, but continue to throw your hissyfits when someone gleans a photo taken by digital camera in front of a non descript concrete wall from your blog! Other than that, your blog is a good read.

Again.

It is fraud if you are selling an item, but purposely neglect to mention that the image they assume is the item they are buying is not.

It is sad if you do not appreciate the beauty of an object being highlighted by a gorgeous grey concrete wall as a background.

If you also think art in non descript then you have human appreciation failings on two fronts.

No1. The truth and honesty of others.
No2. The appreciation of the skill of others

I pity you. Life is a wonderful thing, and to be enjoyed with others. Do go and get some friends, and start enjoying the company and strengths of others. Hate will only eat you away.

As with in everything, you have a choice.

Again.

And a final comment, do bank robbers 'glean' cash at gun point, do car jackers 'glean' the cars of others at knife point?

It is fraud. It is a crime. It is lying.

Well Spinnr, be honest with yourself, comparing 'Save picture as' to bank robberies and car jackings is a bit much. The latter involves violent life threatening behaviour. As stated above, the blog is a good read, and informative. If someone were to list an item stating that said item was similar to one pictured, that is really a compliment to the blogs picture quality as there are probably many example images of a particular item, but this blogs image was chosen as an example because of the good image quality. A backhanded compliment? or comparable to a violent life altering crime? If your stance is the latter, then stop 'gleaning' album covers for personal use.
